USAirtours joins TIPTO
Tailor-made specialist operator USAirtours has joined marketing consortium TIPTO (Truly Independent Professional Travel Organisation)
This takes membership to 20 independent suppliers targeting independent travel agents.
TIPTO is also due to unveil the results of a major investment in its website, aimed at making it more dynamic and informative, with more emphasis on product training for agents.
USAirtours comes on board in time for TIPTO’s second wave of its current series of 19 UK-wide roadshows, which kicks off in Brierley Hill, West Midlands, on February 7.
The operator’s chief executive Guy Novik confirmed that TIPTO’s roadshows were a major factor in its decision to join.
“Independent agents are core to our business and being able to meet face to face with more than 100 of them at each of these events is a golden opportunity,” he said. “We are really looking forward to forging new relationships with independents and cementing existing ones.”
TIPTO chairman Ian Mounser (Superbreak Mini-Holidays) welcomed USAirtours to this week’s bi-monthly member meeting in London.
“USAirtours’ decision to invest in TIPTO demonstrates the continuing importance for such companies to effectively communicate with independent agents,” he said. “This is all the more important in today’s fiercely competitive climate, both for our members and agents.”
