USTA appoints government relations exec
The U.S. Travel Association has announced the appointment of Lorraine Howerton to its public affairs unit as new senior director of government relations.
In this role Howerton will lead the association’s federal aviation policy and work with the Transportation Security Administration.
Howerton has more than 25 years of experience in federal and state policy issues including posts at Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Air Transport Association and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
"As U.S. Travel pursues a national aviation agenda that is pro-competition, pro-growth and pro-traveler, Lorraine is singularly well-equipped to advance those ideals with key policymakers," said U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Roger Dow.
