Vegas launches new MICE campaign
Las Vegas plays host to over 22,000 meetings, trade show and conventions every year but is looking to further increase market share with the launch of two new advertising campaigns.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is rolling out a print and digital ad campaign aimed at senior management highlighting the return on investment with a tagline ‘We’re Here to Do More Than Entertain You.’
Visual ads feature Las Vegas entertainment figures ‘performing’ in typical office settings including illusionist David Copperfield, a Vegas showgirl and a performer from Cirque du Soleil’s Mystère show.
The ads start this month and will include radio spots in national business news outlets.
A second campaign called ‘Neon Signs’ focuses on the business-to-business market around a ‘Las Vegas Makes Every Meeting Exciting’ tagline showing generic meetings lit up in Las Vegas neon.
This campaign will run through the first quarter of 2015 in digital and print ads in meetings industry trade publications.
The meetings and convention industry is a key element of Las Vegas’ economy with up to $7.4 billion generated in local economic impact.
Convention and trade show attendees make up over 12% of all visitors to Southern Nevada – approximately 5.1 million travelers annually.
