Ventura to host 5,500 agents
Almost 5,500 agents are to be hosted by P&O Cruises on its new and largest ship Ventura in April.
Up to 400 agents will have the chance to be a part of the naming ceremony of the largest ship built for Britain by Dame Helen Mirren on April 16 in Southampton.
The 3,000-passenger vessel is due to arrive in the UK port on April 6 for two weeks of inaugural activities.
Three overnight ‘Ventura Experience’ events for travel agents are planned. Agents will take a tour of the ship, try out the restaurants on board and some will win the chance to have a two-hour ‘Cirque Ventura’ session.
A series of presentations will be carried out by Complete Cruise Solution throughout the day in the state of the art theatre on board – The Arena.
Training material and sales tools such as postcards, tour guide and information pack (including dining cover charges, spa price list and deck plans) will be available for agents to take away with them to build on their Ventura knowledge.
Functions to be held on board Ventura include the 50th annual dinner of the Passenger Shipping Association on April 14.
