Victory Cruise Lines adding another expedition ship
Victory Cruise Lines is adding a fourth ship to its fleet from 2022.
Currently under construction, the 200-guest Ocean Discoverer will join sister ship Ocean Victory in Alaska in 2023.
Ocean Discoverer will be identical to Ocean Victory which debuts next year.
It features 93 suites, two restaurants, an open-deck dining area, observation and lectures lounges, a piano bar, spa, and swimming pool.
"We are pleased to welcome our second Alaska-bound expedition ship and expand our Victory Cruise Line experiences," says John Waggoner, founder and CEO of Victory operator American Queen Steamboat Company.
Ocean Discoverer is part of the Sunstone Ships’ INFINITY-class of expedition ships which are designed with a sustainable focus on expedition cruising.
Its smaller size and low draw allows it to dock at many of Alaska’s off-grid smaller ports not accessible to larger cruise ships.
