Vietnam borders reopen

Vietnam has fully reopened borders to international visitors.

All travellers are required to show proof of a negative PCR test result taken up to 72 hours before their flight departure to Vietnam, or a negative antigen test taken up to 24 hours before the flight.

Children under 2 years old are not required to test, while separate guidelines apply for sea and land border crossings.

It brings an end to quarantine restrictions.

Anyone entering the country is also required to download and complete a health declaration on the Vietnam PC-Covid app before arrival into the country and monitor health during their stay in Vietnam.

Vietnam also reinstated visa exemptions.

UK visitors can stay in Vietnam and travel freely for up to 15 days without needing a visa on entry.

Kien Tran Trong, Chairman of the Tourism Advisory Board, said: “There is so much for visitors to discover during. We know thousands of Brits can’t wait to come for a holiday. We are thrilled that we can finally welcome them to Vietnam again after two years.”

Over 300,000 British travellers visited the country annually before the pandemic.
