Vietnam to get first helicopter ride-hailing service
Vietnam is getting its first helicopter ride-hailing service.
Home grown ride-hailing app FastGo plans to launch the service in Hanoi by the end of April.
Called Fastsky, it will be a co-branded project with an as yet unnamed helicopter charter firm based in Vietnam.
It will offer conventional ride hailing via the FastGo app as well as Skytour tourism services such as short sightseeing tours from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay..
Wedding aerial photography and medical evacuation services will also be offered.
The goal of the new services is to promote Vietnam tourism to premium travellers and aerial tours can be booked and paid for in advance by bank card or by instalments, said Nguyen Huu Tuat, founder of FastGo.
FastGo only launched its ride hailing service in Vietnam last year and has since expanded to Myanmar.
It recently announced it will enter the Singapore market shortly.
FastGo has about 60,000 drivers and says it has the second-biggest market share in Vietnam, behind Grab.
