Villa firm creates dynamic packaging link
Italy and Croatia villa specialist Cottages to Castles is to offer dynamic packaging for agents and operators.
The company has improved its technology to allow more than 350 properties to be dynamically packaged through a new and improved Application Programming Interface (API) link.
The current API allows the websites of other operators and agents to overbrand all of Cottages to Castles’ villas, apartments and farmhouses in a seamless link.
The new API means that all Cottages to Castles data, including property descriptions and images, are returned every time a client makes a search for availability or booking. This improvement means that there is no need for operators or agents to have a large amount of static data lodged on their servers, the company said.
Cottages to Castles can now deal with non-database driven operators and agents regarding their full search facility, option-taking, booking and payment system.
The operator says it is committed to the trade and will not be reducing commissions – on signing an agency agreement, commission remains at 15%.
Sales manager Gerry Smith said: “Our enhanced API facility gives operators and agents a new product line on a plate, free of charge, without the usual time and expense of contracting.
“Apart from some XML coding work, we have organized everything for them and , because we are a 22 year old tour operator, not a software provider, they can be assured that we know what we are doing as regards making customers happy. ”
Cottages to Castles’ API system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week with technical back-up.
