Since August 29th and until the 6th of September, Vilnius takes the center stage in the European fashion scene. Vilnius Fashion Week 2025 (VFW 2025) brings together visionary designers, cultural innovators, and international collaborators. They show their style, art, and sustainable practices.

VFW 2025 features a variety of fashion shows, cultural discussions, city-wide art installations, and performances. The festival receives the support of Italy, France, Sweden, Poland, and Latvia. Most events are free and open to the public for locals and visitors to experience the city’s fashion scene.

VFW 2025 started with Sustainable Fashion Day at the Vilnius Town Hall. It highlighted young designers and eco-conscious brands that create a responsible and ethical fashion industry. This year’s theme, “Fashion, Reclaimed,” invites people to rethink their relationship with fashion: reclaim style, extend the life of clothes, and support local creators.

Glamour, fashion and sustainability

On August 30, La Moda Italiana brought Italian elegance at the Italian Embassy and Lukiškės Prison 2.0. To further explore the need for sustainability, on August 31, the festival explored Baltic Identity & Swedish Fashion Wonder at the National Museum’s House of History. The event featured a cultural discussion led by Julia Janus and Lotta Ahlvar. Lotta – Sweden’s famous brand for clogs- explained why Swedish designers are leading the way in their commitment to sustainability and innovation in fashion.

French elegance is deeply connected to both personal identity and inner character. On September 2, Vilnius Fashion Week 2025 will host Jour de Paris at the French Institute, featuring a conversation exploring the secrets behind the enduring phenomenon of French elegance.

On September 3, Hope in Haute: A Polish Elegance Night takes place at the Radisson Collection Astorija Hotel. It will blend fashion, diplomacy, and charity to support breast cancer treatment. In collaboration with the Polish Embassy and the charity organization Blossom of Hope, the dinner combines fashion, diplomacy, and a noble cause. The dinner supports in fact breast cancer care in Lithuania.

The main evening, ELLE Iconic Night, will take place on September 4th at the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre. It will showcase seven Lithuanian designers. But also will offer a combination of runway glamour and artistic performances.

The festival concludes on September 6 with Young Fashion at K2 Comedy Club. The event will show new and emerging talents in the fashion world.

VFW 2025 also integrates street style and city-wide creativity. Shop windows, public spaces, and urban corners will become an interactive part of the festival, capturing the city’s street fashion spirit. While putting Vilnius on the European map of fashion destinations.
