Virgin airlines boost sales and marketing
Both Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia have announced key appointments.
Virgin Australia is strengthening its push into the corporate market with the appointment of Judith Crompton to the newly created role of group executive sales.
A former Qantas and travel industry executive who last worked as head of global and corporate sales at Etihad, Crompton will oversee Virgin’s corporate, government, industry and leisure sales, including eCommerce, Blue Holidays and the airline’s call centres.
Virgin Atlantic has recruited Simon Lloyd as the airline’s marketing director, as from July 10.
He joins Virgin Atlantic from the BBC where he had responsibility for the distribution of all BBC marketing content across all platforms including digital, TV, radio, events and shows.
In his new role at Virgin Atlantic, Lloyd will report in to Julie Southern, chief commercial officer.
