Virgin America teams up with Uber for free airport rides
Virgin America has joined forces with ride sharing app Uber to offer Texas frequent flyers free rides out of Dallas Love Field Airport.
Flight bookings made by October 12 will be eligible for a free Uber ride worth $20 to or from the airport.
"As we know time is of the essence, particularly for our business travelers looking to skip the parking lot, we’re partnering with Uber to make getting to the airport located closest to downtown even more convenient and rewarding for our Elevate members," said Virgin America chief marketing officer Luanne Calvert.
The partnership also extends to free giveaways with five free weekend vacation packages up for grabs with concert tickets included.
Travelers selecting the ‘Friday Night Flights’ option on the Uber app will have an opportunity to win the weekend breaks to Washington D.C., New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Austin.
Winners will be chosen every Thursday afternoon through October 8 for a prize of free roundtrip flights, two nights’ hotel stay, an Uber ride and concert tickets.
To score a ‘Friday Night Flights’ getaway, travelers enter the promo code VXDALFNF and the first to select the option after 3pm each Thursday wins.
"With our stylish, low-fare flights departing daily from downtown Dallas to New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Austin, we’re excited to offer even more perks and great deals to Dallas flyers," added Calvert.
