Virgin boss to walk down the aisle in drag
Sir Richard Branson is walk down the aisle of an AirAsia flight from London dressed as female flight attendant after losing a racing bet.
The Virgin Atlantic tycoon, well-known for his PR stunts, promised fellow airline boss Tony Fernandes, head of AirASia Group, that he would serve as a flight attendant onboard an AirAsia jet if Fernandes’ Team Lotus finished ahead of Virgin Racing at the 2010 Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix.
Sir Richard lost the bet and will on May 1 don the red AirAsia female flight attendant uniform and be part of the crew onboard AirAsia flight D708 from London to Kuala Lumpur.
He will strut down the aisle to offer coffee, tea or any other food or beverage to Fernandes and 250 other guests, including a few celebrities, on the 13-hour flight.
The flight, with proceeds to charity, can be booked at www.AirAsiaGo.com until 07:00hrs on April 24.
