Virgin Holidays creates new director role
Virgin Holidays has appointed Claire Cronin to the new role of customer & marketing director.
The tour operator said linking customers and marketing was integral to ‘achieving its growth plans’.
Cronin, who has 13 years international marketing experience across the financial services, private aviation and luxury travel sectors, will report to MD Mark Anderson from December 8.
She has led teams in the delivery of marketing communications, digital transformation, customer experience and product innovation and joins from Barclaycard.
Virgin Holidays’ MD Mark Anderson said: "Linking the Customer experience with Marketing for the first time in this way is a statement of intent for us. Claire’s appointment sends a strong signal that the two things must be inextricably integrated for us to achieve our growth plans."
Cronin said: "An immediate priority for me will be to turbocharge the digital offering and work to build a seamless customer journey, whichever way consumers come in to the brand."
