Guests staying at Virgin’s recently opened first hotel in Chicago can cruise around the Windy City in in an electric powered Tesla Model S.

The vehicle is available 24/7 via the hotel’s Concierge and guests will be driven to a city destination of their choice by a hotel representative.

"Tesla is the hottest electric car on the road right now, and we’re elated to provide our hotel guests with this chic house-car service while also helping to reduce our carbon footprint," said Doug Carrillo, Vice president of sales & marketing at Virgin Hotels.

"For Virgin Hotels it’s important to provide services our guests desire but do so with the environment in mind whenever possible."

The Virgin car is painted in its signature red color and the Model S claims to be the fastest-accelerating four door vehicle ever built.

It can travel up to 265 miles on a single charge.

Meanwhile Virgin Hotels CEO Raul Leal has revealed details of its second hotel due to open in Nashville next year.

Located on Music Row, it will have 240 Chambers and Grand Chamber Suites, and 15 penthouse residential units.

In addition to meeting space, a rooftop pool and wellness center, it will feature an integrated recording studio on-site.

It is expected to open in the autumn of 2016.
