Virgin Hotels coming to Miami
Virgin Hotels announced its latest planned location in Miami’s Brickell neighbourhood.
Developed by Blue Jay Capital, Virgin will manage the new build 250-key hotel which is slated for a 2023 opening.
The hotel will include a spa, a three-story terraced rooftop with pool, lounge, and event space, and several F&B outlets including the signature Commons Club.
Virgin is touting its no nickel and diming policy with free WIFI and zero resort fees.
"Miami is the headquarters of Virgin Hotels, so this is a milestone that has been a long time coming. Miami is one of our nation’s premier vacation and nightlife destinations and a major cultural hub," said Virgin Hotels CEO Raul Leal.
The development will break ground in 2020 and will incorporate a residential area with 150 micro units and co-living units.
It is planning to use a unique car elevator system for valet parking to maximize space.
It adds to the Virgin Group’s growing presence in South Florida.
Virgin Trains USA and new cruise line Virgin Voyages are also based in the city.
