Virgin Hotels, Virgin Limited Edition to merge
Virgin Hotels plans to merge with sister company Virgin Limited Edition under the new parent brand named Virgin Hotels Collection.
Virgin Limited Edition is the private collection of retreats, hotels and exclusive islands owned by Sir Richard Branson.
The two hospitality brands will also be joined by Virgin Residences.
James Bermingham, current CEO of Virgin Hotels will be CEO for the new Virgin Hotels Collection brand from 1 April.
Jon Brown, CEO of Virgin Limited Edition steps down at the end of March having spent more than 24 years leading Virgin Limited Edition.
Bermingham is responsible for all brands under Virgin Hotels Collection.
Virgin Hotels are located in Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, Virgin New Orleans, Las Vegas, and Edinburgh.
New hotels in Glasgow and New York City are scheduled to open in 2023, followed by Miami and Denver in 2025.
“I’m thrilled that we are bringing Virgin Limited Edition and Virgin Hotels together,” Sir Richard Branson said.
