Virgin to launch Mauritius flights
Virgin Atlantic Airways is launching direct services from London Heathrow
to Mauritius later this year.
The new service, which begins on 28 October, brings the airline’s total number of destinations to 29.
Virgin Atlantics 30th route launch will come just two days later with flights to Kingston, Jamaica.
Andrew Fyfe, Regional Manager, Middle East and Indian Ocean, said:
“I am really excited that Virgin Atlantic is to serve this beautiful island, our first entry into the Indian Ocean. The launch of these services will lead to increased competition, better value for money and quality of service.”
Services will operate twice a week on
Fridays and Sundays from Heathrow and Saturdays and Mondays from Mauritius
on an Airbus A340-300 with 240 seats onboard – 34 Upper Class, 35 Premium Economy and 171 Economy.
