Virgin Voyages launching ‘First Mates’ travel agent portal
New cruise startup Virgin Voyages is officially welcoming its ‘first mates’ aboard.
That is the term for travel industry partners who can register on the new travel agent platform FirstMates.com from February 5.
FirstMates.com offers marketing collaterals and online education programs.
The first is called Cabin Fever which starts on February 6 offering a first introduction to the line’s cabin and stateroom product.
Agents who register before February 14 will be entered into a draw to have tea with Sir Richard Branson.
Bookings for the first sailings in 2020 also go on open sale to the public on February 14.
Virgin has been gradually teasing details of its first ship Scarlet Lady over the past few months which includes an onboard tattoo parlor, and has unveiled plans for a new cruise terminal at PortMiami.
The line has four ships on order at Fincantieri and expects to launch one ship each year starting in 2020.
