VisitBritain commercial chief stands down
VisitBritain distribution and commercial services director Kenny Boyle is to leave the tourism agency.
The key functions within his division will be positioned more closely alongside related activities in marketing, business services and VisitBritain’s international network to further integrate delivery of services to stakeholders, the organisation said.
CEO Sandie Dawe said: “Kenny has made a very significant contribution to VisitBritain, first as marketing director and then as distribution and services director.
"He has created a wide-ranging commercial capability for VisitBritain and re-engineered many of our marketing functions, thus enabling the organisation to deliver a wider range of consumer and industry services than would otherwise have been possible for us as our grant-in-aid has declined in recent years.”
Boyle said: “I’ve enjoyed my time at VisitBritain enormously. It’s been a privilege to be associated with the organisation.
"These changes will enable VisitBritain to integrate its delivery of consumer and industry services still further. At the same time, they allow me to consider some very interesting opportunities which have presented themselves elsewhere".
He will remain with VisitBritain for some months, ensuring the seamless transfer of the key functions of his division to other areas of the organisation.
