VLM is to take over Flybe’s Jersey route from London City Airport.
Flybe is terminating the service on 16 June but VLM is to take it up on 30 June.
VLM plans three flights a day on weekdays, with one flight on Saturdays and two on Sundays operating Fokker F-50 turboprop aircraft.
The airline is offering £49 return fares for bookings made by the end of the month for travel until 30 September.
The addition of the Channel Islands’ route cements VLM’s position as the largest carrier serving the London Docklands airport with a network of seven destinations.
The airline’s UK regional manager Titus Johnson said: “After starting the London City to Liverpool service in February we had not anticipated further growth so quickly but this opportunity was simply too good to turn down. VLM is very much looking forward to bringing the two financial scentres closer together.”
