With over one 200 entries so far and less than a week to go until nominations close, Virgin Holidays’ Amanda Wills, Dubai Tourism’s Ingrid Aagesen and British Travel Awards’ Lorraine Barnes Burton are amongst some of the leading nominees for the inaugural Women 1st Top 100 Most Influential Women listing and the 2011 Shine Awards.

The first of its kind in an industry where women have struggled to reach positions of seniority, the Top 100 is designed to celebrate the best in female achievement in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sectors.

Nominations can be made at http://www.people1st.co.uk/top100 and the deadline for submissions is 18 February.

The awards ceremony will be held on March 31 at the newly refurbished Savoy Hotel and presented by TV personality Gaby Roslin.
