Voting now open for British Travel Awards
Voting has now opened for the 2017 British Travel Awards.
Nominated companies have until September 30 to lobby consumers for votes.
Last year 1,332,516 votes and opinions were cast, making the BTAs the largest consumer voted award programme in the UK.
Companies have already received a marketing pack, with tools to help their own lobbying campaigns including a personalised online direct voting ‘Vote for Us’ pop-up window option, which links voters straight through to the nominated company’s category on the voting form.
This can be used on emails, websites or via social media channels.
Meanwhile, consumer media partner Trinity Mirror Group and BTA broadcast partner, city TV station Made Television, will run campaigns to promote voting.
"Nominated companies cannot afford to be complacent, they must get their lobbying campaigns going without delay, encouraging all their past happy customers to vote," said BTA CEO Lorraine Barnes Burton.
"In the meantime they can proudly display the nominated for a 2017 BTA logo across all platforms and on printed collateral."
Consumers who vote can enter a prize draw with the chance to win holiday prizes.
Prizes currently include a £2,000 holiday voucher from TUI, a holiday in Croatia from Newmarket Holidays, eight days on the Amalfi Coast from Travelsphere, and a villa holiday in Kefalonia from Ionian & Aegean Island Holidays.
Travel companies who have provided prizes will receive exposure via the BTA media partners.
