Vroom! Vroom! STB maintains F1 hotel levies
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has confirmed that the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix hotel levy will remain at the four-night limit.
From Sept 23 to Sept 26, trackside hotels in Singapore will be charged 30 percent of the total revenue earned from hotel room charges and room packages, while non-trackside hotels will be charged 20 percent for the same revenue over the four days.
For the 2010 race, there will be 15 trackside hotels, due to the inclusion of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and The Fullerton Bay Hotel, said the STB, bringing the number of available trackside rooms up approximately 10,000.
Trackside hotels include the Carlton Hotel, Conrad Centennial Singapore, Fairmont Singapore, Grand Park City Hall, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Marina Mandarin, Naumi, Peninsula Excelsior Hotel, Raffles Hotel, Swissotel The Stamford, Singapore, The Fullerton Bay Hotel, The Fullerton Hotel, The Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore and The Ritz-Carlton Millennia, Singapore.
