Wait a tick for Tok Tok
Vanuatu Tourism Office has postponed its 2013 Tok Tok tradeshow due to the unavailability of Air Vanuatu’s regular aircraft.
The show, scheduled for August 27-30, will now take place November 12-15.
Vanuatu Tourism Office is contacting all attendees to advise of the postponement.
Air Vanuatu’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft is currently undergoing planned maintenance in Singapore and will not be reintroduced into service until early September.
Air Vanuatu continues to operate its normal schedule with a smaller chartered aircraft but due to its limited capacity it would not be able to meet the demand of Tok Tok.
Vanuatu Tourism Office general manager Linda Kalpoi said it was a hard decision "but we had no other option considering the timing of the maintenance and the impact it would have on Tok Tok".
