Coffee Republic co-founder Sahar Hashemi has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at this year’s Global Travel Group conference.
Recognised as one of the 100 most influential women in Britain in 2003, she gave up her job as a lawyer to establish the coffee shop chain with her investment banker brother in 1995.
It was built up into one of the country’s best known high street brands with a turnover of £30 million.
Sahar left the day to day management of the company in 2001 and has written a best selling business book on her experiences.
She is a speaker ambassador for the Prince’s Trust and makes regular media and conference appearances.
The Global conference takes place on March 8-9 in Manchester.
