Warner postpones hotel re-openings so it can ‘restock fridges and rearrange furniture’

Warner hotels has cancelled all breaks up to July 26 2020 to give it time ‘restock larders, fridges and bars, rearrange furniture for social distancing, and get fresh linen on the beds’.

It said the date has been chosen to allow it to fully implement all the new measures for the health, safety and enjoyment of its customers following Covid-19 guidelines.

"Importantly, it’ll ensure our teams are well-equipped and trained, ready to welcome everyone back in the safest possible way," it said.

Warner said all breaks from July 27 are currently going ahead as planned, subject to further guidance from the UK and Welsh Governments.

It told customers there is no need to get in touch. Instead, the full value of their break has been automatically moved into the hold account.

Customers who choose to rebook will receive a £100 voucher to spend at the hotel for three-nights or more, £50 for a two-night break or £25 for a one-night break. This voucher is per room and is based on two people sharing. Or, guests can get a full refund.

"We are working hard to reschedule your entertainment to later in the year and we will be in touch with a new rescheduled break, which you can choose to book if you wish," it told customers.

"We will contact you as soon as we can to ask which option you prefer. This may take us a number of weeks due to the volume of guests impacted by this situation."

Warner said it would publish updates on its website and Facebook page as soon as it knows more.
