Warwick Hotels increases commissions for meeting planners
Bucking the trend started by Marriott international to cut commissions, Warwick Hotels and Resorts is boosting third party commissions by an extra 5%.
The company is offering an extra 5% commission on food and beverage and room rental for all meetings and incentives groups, excluding taxes and gratuities.
It is available with immediate effect for bookings at seven properties in the US and the Bahamas.
It includes the flagship Warwick New York, the new all-inclusive adults only Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas, Warwick Seattle and Warwick Melrose – Dallas.
Intermediaries receive 10% on room revenue.
Warwick Hotels & Resorts now has a portfolio of more than 50 hotels, resorts and spas, in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and the South Pacific.
Marriott International’s planned commission cut from 10% to 7% began last week, and rival Hilton announced it would follow suit.
