Washington to New York: $39 one-way
JetBlue in August is introducing a shuttle between Washington and New York with fares as low as $39 each way.
The low-cost carrier will operate six daily non-stop flights from Dulles International Airport to John F. Kennedy.
The action means JetBlue is undercutting other carriers.
The dominant shuttles lines are Delta and US Airways which charge a minimum of $300 one-way fares.
But the airlines offer service to Reagan National Airport, which is in the heart of Washington and much more convenient than Dulles, a minimum of a half-hour away from downtown.
Introductory fares will be limited and regular fares will be up to $145 one way.
The airliner will use its Embraer 190, 100-passenger planes which offer satellite television and satellite radio.
