Wave of whitewater rafting in western US
Favorable water conditions and rising temperatures are leading many American travelers to whitewater rafting trips this year, say authorities.
Said David Brown, executive director of America Outdoors:
“We’ve seen an upsurge in business this season, especially in the western states where rivers are brimming with water.”
He added:
“The season got off to a slow start in much of the east due to a cool spring, but with temperatures rising outfitters are seeing a spike in their reservations.”
America Outdoors is a leading association of outfitters with members in 43 states and 50 foreign countries.
