WDT Corporate Travel appoints new director
EFR Travel Group has appointed Andy McLundie as director of its corporate travel specialist company, Scotland-based WDT Corporate Travel.
He will replace founder and former MD George Glen, from whom EFR Travel bought the business last year following Glen’s decision to retire.
Glen, who built up the business from scratch and stayed on to ensure a smooth transition, has now left the company.
McLundie has 30 years of experience in the corporate travel business, the majority of it with HRG, where he worked his way up from an administrative assistant role in the Glasgow offices to head of UK & International Operations.
Edward Rom, founder and CEO, EFR Travel Group, said: "We’re delighted to welcome Andy on board at WDT, who brings with him a wealth of experience in the corporate travel world. We would also like to wish George a very happy and well-deserved retirement and thank him for all his hard work and commitment since our purchase of his business last year."
McLundie added: "Being part of this journey and taking WDT Corporate Travel to the next level is going to be very exciting. WDT has an excellent service proposition, and combined with the technological infrastructure that being part of EFR Travel brings, we are in a strong position to develop within our core Scottish markets and beyond.
"I’m looking forward to working with my established team of highly dedicated professionals within the business and have a very clear plan on our strategy for success, working with existing clients and developing new client relationships into the future."
