Web service promises different hotel portfolio
Agents could get access to hotels in emerging markets that they cannot book anywhere else by subscribing to a new internet service, it is claimed.
Internet distribution firm 4oceans has introduced a new agent portal for hotel web bookings.
The service, called ResAgent Lite, allows agents to sign up to the 4oceans platform for £99 a year and receive full commission for each booking that is made.
The company claims that by subscribing to the service agents will get access to hotels which are not available on any other GDS – including over 1,200 unique properties in China.
4oceans Business Development Director EMEA, Peter Thornton said: “4oceans is the GDS for hotels in emerging travel markets, offering a gateway to the rest of the world and presenting an opportunity that has never been available before.”
The company hopes the low-cost initiative will appeal to agents who are concerned about investing heavily in new technology.
