Website invites pilgrims to follow in footsteps of Jesus
The Israel Government Tourist Office has revamped its dedicated website for Christians planning pilgrimages to the country.
The site, walkwherejesuswalked.com, offers insight into the locations Jesus visited and prayed.
The website is dedicated to making pilgrimages to the Holy Land inspiring and practical by incorporating helpful hints and tips along with some inspiring imagery.
A new feature of the website is the Holy Land Mapped, an interactive aid which pinpoints key locations throughout Israel providing users with a tangible guide to defining moments in Jesus’ life and ministry.
A spokesperson for the IGTO, said "Israel offers visitors a rich history. Christians visiting the Holy Land will be able to use the bible as a visitor’s guide.
"This website showcases the destinations one could visit during a holiday to Israel."
The website also provides information about booking holidays and lists a number of tour operators that can create itineraries specifically for Christians.
