West Hollywood Tourism launches travel trade portal
The West Hollywood Travel and Tourism Board this month rolled out its first training resource for the travel trade.
West Hollywood University is an online portal for travel partners offering tools in sales planning, comprehensive destination content and media library, and educational resources.
There are several modules which travel advisors and partners complete which certifies them as West Hollywood Tourism Graduates.
The first 200 ‘graduates’ to complete the training earn a West Hollywood University pennant, and have the opportunity to win a two-night stay at a West Hollywood hotel, inclusive of dinner for two at a restaurant and a two-hour tour for two with Bikes and Hikes L.A.
"We’re thrilled to roll out a program that helps travel advisors – who are some of our greatest ambassadors – share the uniquely special experience that is West Hollywood," said Tom Kiely, president and CEO of West Hollywood Travel + Tourism Board.
"West Hollywood is a culture unto itself, and it’s important for travel professionals to fully grasp this distinction to better serve their clientele."
Resources give travel advisors all the logistical knowledge required to sell packaged trips with confidence.
It is complimentary to all verified travel advisors and can be accessed in mobile format.
Measuring 1.9 square miles in the heart of Los Angeles, West Hollywood is home to 19 hotels and the iconic Sunset Strip, LGBTQ-friendly Santa Monica Boulevard, and the Design District.
