What’s the future for traditional tour operators? Cosmos joins the debate
Cosmos sales director Andy Washington is the latest industry leader confirmed for TravelMole’s next Travel Industry Question Time.
He will join Sunvil Holidays’ Noel Josephides, who is to represent the Association of Independent Tour Operators at the debate.
Other high profile speakers are due to be confirmed within days.
The debate will tackle the question – Is the traditional tour operator the dinosaur of the travel industry?
The latest in TravelMole’s topical industry debates is to be held in London on October 19 between 16.30-18.30 (venue to be confirmed).
The discussion, to be moderated by travel industry journalist and commentator Jeremy Skidmore, follows what many in the trade have described as the worst summer in 15 years.
The seemingly unstoppable growth of dynamic packaging booked online via the internet and the dramatic rise in no-frills flights to mainstream holiday destinations has compounded the woes of traditional tour operators.
So, do they have a future or is the model cracked beyond repair?
TravelMole is gathering together a group of top-level industry speakers from across the sector to enter the discussion on October 19.
