Saturdays in December, Noon-5pm
Experience holiday season magic at South Lake Brewing Company’s enchanting Holiday Market. This festive event is the perfect destination for unique gift shopping and savouring seasonal delights. Browse an array of local artisan stalls.
Frosty Shoreline Snowshoe Experience
Venture across the wintry terrain of the snow-blanketed beaches of Lake Tahoe. Perfect for novices and seasoned snowshoers alike, these excursions promise an exhilarating stroll along the icy shores. As a finishing touch, warm up beside the inviting fire pits with a specialty beverage.
Fridays and Saturdays in December at 5:00 pm at Beach Retreat and Lodge
Village Ice Sculpture Contest
Monday, 26 December, 11:00 am – 7:00 pm.
Admire the expert carving of ice sculptors at Heavenly Village, Tamarack Lodge, Ski Run Marina, and The Crossing at the Y. This multi-block competition is voted by the public with the winner awarded $500 to be donated to a charity of their choice. There are interactive sessions where attendees can ask questions and learn basic techniques.
Santa Claus is Skiing to Town
16 December, all day.
Dress up as Santa and ski or ride Heavenly all day. All Santas are asked to meet at Tamarack Lodge for an aprés party and group photo.
New Year 2024: Fireworks, Streamer Blast and Gondola Drop
NYE, 31 December
Ring in the new year with friends and family with a spectacular firework show and gondola drop coordinated with the midnight ball drop in New York City’s Time Square. Admission is free. Don’t miss a spectacular firework display.
