Wimbledon champions in 3D
Visitors to Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum this month can watch a newly enhanced ‘Viewpoint’ 3D film featuring Wimbledon champion Andy Murray.
As well as showing Murray’s triumph at this year’s championships, the film also offers 3D highlights from the last three years’ men’s and ladies’ finals.
In total, six champions will be featured: Andy Murray, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, Petra Kvitova, Serena Williams and Marion Bartoli.
Setting the scene is ‘The Walk of Champions’ from the dressing rooms to Centre Court through the clubhouse
Viewpoint builds a picture of what goes on behind the scenes.
The film reveals the often hidden heroes of the occasion, including the stories of the groundsmen and the new ball boy and girl recruits being led through their rigorous training programme.
Ashley Jones, commercial manager of the museum, said of the film: "It really offers an exceptional insight into the traditions, stories, excitement and living history at Wimbledon."
To complement the film, the Blue Badge Guide Tour of the Wimbledon grounds provides an intimate look at Wimbledon, and The Championships
The Museum offers audio tours produced in 10 languages.
Group bookings of 15 or more can be made in advance, available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin and other languages when pre-arranged.
