Win $7,000 of prizes at the Mercure Sydney Airport Hotel

Wednesday, 20 Aug, 2007 0

Every traveller knows the worst part of any journey is the trip from the airport to the hotel, after a long flight, when all you want to do is curl up in the comfort of your room. The Mercure Hotel Sydney Airport has used this experience to design an exciting online game – Mercure Airport Dash – where everyone who actually makes it to the hotel from the airport instantly wins a prize.

There are more than $7000 worth of prizes including the grand prize of a pamper package at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney, staying in a superior room, with dinner and full breakfast for two, a bottle of wine on arrival and a Lenotre luxury afternoon tea – valued at over $800.

There are also instant prizes of drinks/food vouchers or room upgrades for every player who actually manages to reach the hotel as part of the game. And every week for 8 weeks the fastest player will win a special romance accommodation package at the Mercure including overnight accommodation in an executive suite, a bottle of bubbles on arrival, full buffet breakfast for two in Seasons Restaurant, overnight parking and late checkout valued at $530.

The second fastest player each week will win dinner for two at Seasons Restaurant valued at $155 and the third fastest player will win a $100 Accor GiftPlus card to spend on accommodation at any Accor hotel around Australia.

The first competition of its kind by a hotel in Australia, the Mercure Airport Dash is easy to play and everyone who makes it to the hotel is a winner. It is another innovation on the Mercure Sydney Airport’s website which was a finalist for the best hotel website in the AHA Awards for Excellence. By sending the game to friends or by subscribing to the hotel’s newsletter, there are even more changes to win.

The Mercure Sydney Airport underwent a multimillion refurbishment last year and offers resort-style facilities including tennis courts, squash courts, outdoor pool and fully equipped gym, plus great meeting facilities and an excellent restaurant and bar – all within easy reach of the airport and just 15 minutes from the city.

To play the Mercure Airport Dash just to go www.mercuresydneyairport.com.au/airportdash

* Only players who manage to navitage all the way to the hotel will be eligible for instant prizes and registered for the major prize pool. Players who don’t find their way to the hotel can play again until they do reach the hotel.
