Windstar cruising back to Asia this year
Small ship operator Windstar Cruises is sailing back to Asian waters later this year.
The Star Legend is returning with 27 itineraries for the 2018-2019 season.
It includes a first time sailing in Indonesia with calls in Bali and Komodo, as well as an Asian ‘pop culture’ cruise taking in Japan, South Korea and China.
Also new is a 11-day Bangkok to Singapore sailing.
Longer journeys include Shrines and Cities of Asia,’ a 22-day cruise from Tokyo to Hong Kong and the ‘Epic East Asia,’ lasting 47 days from Bangkok to Tokyo departing in February.
These are Star Collector sailings which combine several itineraries into back-to-back voyages.
An extensive land program has been unveiled with pre- and post-cruise packages such as Angkor Wat from Bangkok and a visit to the Great Wall of China.
Windstar will also offer more than 200 shore excursions in Asia ranging from a visit to a traditional Malay home, Shanghai at night, and Komodo Dragons in Indonesia.
