Wingate introduces free wireless internet

Tuesday, 02 Dec, 2004 0

Wingate Inns International has introduced free wireless high-speed internet access in guest rooms and public areas in all of its hotels in the US and Canada.

Said Wingate Inn President Keith Pierce:

“Providing wireless access that allows our guests to ‘unlatch” and work wherever they want is good, but providing it for free is what distinguishes us from other chains.”

He said the wireless offer is part of Wingate’s all-inclusive pricing policy, which includes free faxes and photocopies, free continental breakfast, local calls, long-distance access, and free use of 24-hour, self-service business centers.

LodgeNet Entertainment Corp., which has supplied the hotel chain’s internet service since 1999, is also providing the wireless service.
