Wisconsin Dells Mega-Resort Plans Expansion
The African-themed Kalahari Resort, one of Wisconsin Dells’ prime water park hotels, will unveil a $15-million indoor entertainment complex in December.
It will include a six-story Ferris wheel, a ropes course with zip line, adult and kiddie go-carts, 24 lanes of bowling and 18 holes of mini-golf. Also available will be more than 200 arcade games, laser tag and two state-of-the-art golf simulators. The new center will connect the hotel and convention center to Damon’s Grill and the 15-screen Desert Cinema via indoor walkways.
The 742-room Kalahari, with authentic African artwork and furnishings, boasts Wisconsin Dells’ largest indoor water park, featuring the Flow Rider surf simulator and Master Blaster water rollercoaster. It also has a huge outdoor water park, plus eight dining venues, a spa and salon, and fitness center. [877-525-2427, www.kalahariresorts.com]
