Wizz Air announces Saudi flights from London
Wizz Air is launching the first low cost carrier route connecting London and Saudi Arabia.
Wizz Air’s new London Gatwick to Jeddah route is set to take off from March 2025.
It is made possible thanks to Wizz Air’s new Airbus A321XLR aircraft
The new Saudi flights are priced from $116.99 with tickets now on sale.
The seven hour route will operate overnight
The airline also announced the upcoming launch of Abu Dhabi flights from Milan starting next June.
Andras Rado, Wizz Air’s head of communications and government affairs, said: “The Airbus A321XLR is the most cost-efficient aircraft and, given the enhanced range capability, it enables Wizz Air to connect the furthest destinations in its network and further expand it.”
“This new aircraft type marks a new era of ultra-low-fare travel on long-haul routes.”
Wizz Air will become one of the first operators of the new Airbus model, and has ordered 47 of the planes.
