Wizz Air UK is offering redundant Flybe workers a lifeline.

It will hold recruitment events in Birmingham and online, for former Flybe cabin crew and pilots.

The events are open to anyone looking to join Wizz Air.

Pilots interested in joining Wizz Air can register for an online recruitment event which will take place on 30 January at 1pm.

Wizz Air welcomes pilots with an EASA license and offers first officer and captain positions.

Cabin crew recruitment events will take place in Birmingham on 3 and 4 February at 9am.

Candidates can register for a full day with a personal introduction, team exercises, and an individual interview.

Marion Geoffroy, Wizz Air UK MD, said: “We have organised special recruitment events for all Flybe cabin crew and pilots to learn more about the opportunities we have.”

Regional airline Flybe collapsed again, less than a year after relaunching.

It abruptly cancelled all flights and said it ‘ceased trading.

Ryanair also extended an invitation to laid off workers.

It launched a fast track recruitment application for ex-Flybe employees.
