Wizz Air offers last-minute Zakynthos and Santorini flights after quarantine rules lifted
Wizz Air has jumped on news of the latest removal of quarantine restrictions by offering last-minute flights to the Greek Islands of Zakynthos and Santorini.
The government announced on Thursday that five Greek islands had been added to the UK’s travel corridor, meaning travellers from Lesvos, Tinos, Serifos, Santorini and Zakynthos will no longer have to quarantine from 4am on Saturday.
Wizz Air is banking on consumer demand for the October half term with tickets now on sale for twice weekly flights from London Luton airport from October 22 to November 8 with fares starting from £54.00, one way.
The airline recommends customers also buy its WizzFlex insurance, which gives them the option to cancel the flight up to three hours before departure for no fee and get 100% of the original fare reimbursed in airline credit.
