Woman charged with tasering teen at California theme park
A theme park customer is facing charges of assaulting a fellow park guest with a deadly weapon following a confrontation.
Leticia Saxton, 44 is alleged to have used a stun gun on a teen who got into an argument with her daughter at California’s Great America park.
Judge John Garibaldi said Saxton is also accused of punching and kicking the 16-year old victim along with other persons.
"If the facts are proven, a defendant is aiding and abetting her daughter in an assault on a teenager," Garibaldi said in a pre-trial hearing.
The alleged attack took place during Halloween Haunt last week at the Santa Clara park, during a night of several other reported assaults.
Saxton was also accused of making later threats to the victim via social media.
It is unclear how the stun gun got inside the park undetected.
The park has so far declined to comment.
