Woman downs bottle of cognac at airport security, collapses at gate
A female passenger drank a full bottle of duty free cognac at airport security after being told she wasn’t allowed to take it onto the flight in her hand luggage.
She later collapsed at the departre gate, where airline staff decided she was too drunk to board.
The Chinese woman had bought the £120 Remy Martin XO Excellence at a US airport but she was stopped at Beijing Airport where she was transfering on to a domestic flight.
She was told she couldn’t take the cognac in her hand luggage as it was larger than the 100ml limit.
She then drank the entire contents, according to the South China Morning Post and was later found rolling on the floor, according to police.
The woman was taken to a room to rest and later escorted home by her family.
