World’s best holiday airline named at Paris Air Show
Thomson Airways has again been named ‘World’s Best Leisure Airline’ at the World Airline Awards, held at Musee de l’Air et de l’Espace at the Paris Airshow.
This is the fifth year out of six that the airline has won the title.
Managing director John Murphy said: "We are extremely proud to have won the World’s Best Leisure Airline again. We’re always looking at new ways to innovate our on board experience and revolutionise our fleet, from introducing iPads to personalise our service and taking delivery of further Thomson 787 Dreamliners.
"We also remain committed to ensuring customers can fly from the airport closest to their doorstep to a great selection of destinations, so have focused on offering more long haul routes on our Dreamliner from regional airports."
The airline recently announced plans to expand its Dreamliner fleet with up to four new, larger Boeing 787-9 aircraft, increasing the fleet to 13 Dreamliners. The first 787-9 aircraft will arrive in June 2016.
