World’s largest cruise ship enroute to Florida
The world’s largest cruise ship is crossing the Atlantic on its way to Miami, where it will start seven-night western Caribbean itineraries in June.
The “Freedom of the Seas” holds more than 4,000 guests. It has 15 passenger decks and a surf park complete with a wave-making machine.
There’s also a water park filled with sculptures, water cannons, fountains and a pool called the H20 Zone.
While the ship is obviously geared for families, adults also have their own amenities. There’s an adults-only Solarium with a rainforest theme and a panoramic view of the ocean.
There’s also a rock climbing wall and ice skating rink. Scuba lessons are available.
There are four categories of staterooms. Each one has full-sized, flat screen television and WiFi capabilities.
A Presidential Family Suite comfortably sleeps up to 14 guests. It has five plasma TVs, a large wrap-around balcony, a bar, work stations, and four separate bedrooms, each with its own bath and whirlpool.
The ship is owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited.
