Wotif.com seeks Oz listing
Budget accommodation website Wotif.com is to seek a listing on the Australian stock exchange.
The company, which has a European office in London, claims to be Australia’s leading accommodaition website.
The listing, planned for the first half of next year, is designed to assist the site’s global expansion. Wotif claims to hold more than 50% market share in the Australian online accommodation industry.
Wotif, launched five years ago, employs 110 staff with headquarters in Brisbane and offices in London, Auckland, Singapore and Toronto.
CEO Graeme Wood said: “Last year European sales increased by 40%, predominantly through business accommodation bookings and leisure travellers purchasing low cost airline tickets alonside Wotif.com accommodation.”
