Wotif steps up UK campaign

Late deals accommodation website Wotif.com has stepped up its UK presence by opening an office in London.

The Australia-based company has appointed Matthew Harris as UK manager to head its London headquarters. Mr Harris will be responsible for developing growth strategies and expanding inventory.

He has previously held positions at Forte Group, the Scotsman Hotel Group and The Strand Hotel.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Harris said: “Wotif.com meets the demands and growing trend fuelled by budget airline carriers, of British travellers booking last-minute accommodation independently from their flights online.

“This trend, combined with Wotif.com’s new strategy and huge product range, will quickly fuel our growth.”
