WOW, budget airline announces flights to Boston

Thursday, 13 Nov, 2013 0

Iceland’s budget airline WOW will launch flights from Gatwick to Boston next spring.

The six-times-a-week service will operate via Reykjavik.

Flights will depart Gatwick at 12:20 and arrive in Boston at 18:25, while return flights will leave Boston at 20:10 and arrive in Gatwick the next day at 10:50.

The new route will mark the airline’s first venture to the US and it will add a fifth A320 aircraft to service the route.

However, WOW has not given an exact launch date or announced lead in fares.

Its service will compete with Icelandair, which already offers flights from Heathrow to Boston via Reykjavik, and direct flights offered by British Airways, Virgin and Delta.
